Post-Hiatus Reshelling Log

Before my hiatus (2012–2017) I rarely sold any dolls and had never done a reshelling. I thought it just wasn’t for me.

But things changed. When I came back in 2022, I realized my preferences had shifted - not drastically, but enough that the collection needed some refreshing after years of abandonment and three moves across Europe.

So here is a character I ended up reshelling:

Björn

Luts Cane > Dollshe Adonis SA

He was originally embodied as a Luts Cane. I still like that sculpt, but he’s unavailable now, stored in my home country (Ukraine), and possibly lost forever. So this change was more or less unavoidable. I think he looks great now, though - but I still like Cane head as well.

Norra

Mazarine Blue Doll Taee > Merry Doll Round Fang

This one happened quickly. The Taee head is absolutely beautiful, but it just didn’t click with me. The Fang head does. I’m not entirely sure why - probably the character evolved, and the old vision just doesn’t fit anymore.

Ashrian

Domuya Faith > Soom Breccia

This was a difficult one. I like my Ashrian - she was one of my very first dolls. She’s gorgeous, a rare sculpt, and her face is exceptional. I was very attached. But after the hiatus, I just couldn’t reconnect with her, no matter how much I tried. That made me really sad. I’d been thinking about reshelling her since 2022, but I couldn’t find a modern sculpt that felt right.

This autumn, I accidentally found the doll I originally wanted for Ashrian from the very beginning. It felt like a treasure find - I never thought I’d have a Breccia! I hesitated, but… yes, it works. I’m really happy with this hard decision.

Ashrian as a character doesn’t have fox ears - I just love these Breccia features, so they’re staying for now.
