Har - The Accidental Doll
Here is my 'Accidental Doll'. I originally got this head as a part of project doll. I was mainly interested in the body. (It was the IpleHouse body meant for first version of Norra. I really like that body and find it one of the nicest female bodies in my collection). Yes, he was on a female body, which I understand - this head has rather soft, androgynous features.
The head was an unfamiliar sculpt to me from the Doll-Family H company. The certificate was only in Chinese, so I couldn’t identify mold name. I posted a thread on Den of Angels, and luckily, a fellow hobbyist recognized it as Doll-Family H Chang Sheng, a discontinued sculpt released in 2019. According to the certificate, it was created in 2021.

The head was originally painted by the first owner and sealed with an unknown sealant that caused the pigment to stain the resin, especially noticeable in the red and black areas.
(Unfortunately, I don’t have a photo from before I tried to remove the faceup - I didn’t expect what happened next, so I only took a picture once the sealant became bubbling).

First I've used him for faceup training but I don't really like the idea of training heads floating around.
I decided to give him a refresh, repainted him once again, and put him up for sale. Then I removed the epoxy modification from the neck hole...then tried to minimize red staining and cleaned him up again - a long process. But I think I've removed staining, mostly.
Somewhere along the way, I started to like him. Maybe it's just me loving dreaming sculpts, or maybe it's because I've always felt a certain attachment to restored dolls. I’m still figuring out his style and backstory, but I enjoy his vibe. His face is versatile and interesting to look at many angles.

So well, i think he’s joining the crew. He's already feels like one of them.
I’ve named him Harald, or Har for short, and I’m working on figuring out his backstory. Har has received old Einar’s body (a Dollshe 18M Classic) which I think suits him quite okay for now, but I can change it later.
*In the last pictures, he's on the RaOn body which is similar to old Soom Super Gem. It feels nice, but it's a bit small for the head.
