Letting Go

Den of Angels, the international forum for BJD owners and collectors, announced its closure this spring. It will close on August 15, 2026 - well, basically, just a few days remain. While I'd noticed some signs years ago and it didn't catch me by surprise, I'm still sad. There are a lot of nice memories there for me, and tons of useful information for anyone who's interested in the BJD hobby.

I was a part of this community since August 2012. I've met a lot of nice people there. Plenty of my dolls were bought through the Marketplace, and I've learned a lot about ball-jointed doll collecting, maintenance, and sewing. And while the experience wasn't always nice (as in any community, which is normal), it was 99% nice. I've enjoyed being a part of the DOA community for almost 14 years. I logged in occasionally even during my hiatus.

Now it's time to say farewell to this place. I hope some new forums and online communities will appear and grow, but only the future will tell.
